The effet of polyol and isocyanate ratio to thermal properties of polyurethane foam as thermal analysis were investigated. In this study, the polyol were used is palm oil based polyol type and there a nine ratio were investigated. These finding follow the theory that the higher content of isocyanate the higher thermal properties that can find. The PU foam were prepared based on the open mould. The open mould was used to produce the PU foam is rectangular frame with dimension 75cm . The effect of different ratio polyol and isocyanate to compressive strength were also investigated in this study by compression machine. Compression test was done in order to investigate the compressive strength of PU foam. From the testing, the compressive strength of PU foam that content different ratio of polyol and isocyanate was different. Besides that, the chemical composition in PU foam was analyze under Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy in order to identify the chemical structure and chemical bonds exist in the PU foam. In addition, the thermal properties of PU foam was analyzed from the Thermogravimetry Analysis (TGA). The Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) was also done to study the interlocking formation between polyol and isocyanate in PU foam.en_US
