This study describes ability of silver coated immobilized PANI/TiO₂ by using photooxidation method in the waste water treatment through the photocatalytic degradation process. The polyaniline soluble is prepared by emulsion polymerization using ammonium persulfate (APS) as oxidant, sodium dedocylperoxydisulphate (SDS) as surfactant and chloroform as solvent. The method used to produce the blend is direct mixing method. Silver (Ag), PANI/TiO₂, PANI/TiO₂/Silver (Ag) blends were undergo FTIR analysis to characterize this. As been observed, the polyaniline soluble is successfully polymerized and direct mixing method can be used to produce PANI/TiO₂ blend as indicate in the FTIR spectra. The SEM was analyzed to observe the morphology of the samples. The result shows the present of different structure for different samples. For the PANI/TiO₂/Ag (1minute), PANI/TiO₂/Ag (2 minute), and PANI/TiO₂/Ag (3 minute), the particles are mutually different in its amount of structure of silver. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was performed compared the thermal analysis in which changes in physical and chemical properties of materials are measured as a function of increasing temperature (with constant heating rate) with and without silver exist. The photo-activity was conducted to determine the percentage of dye removal when time is increase.en_US
