Abstract: | This research is focused on the effect of concentration of reaction gas to the quality and quantity of the synthesis of graphene. Different concentrations of reaction gas (methane, CH4) were used at the range of 130 MLPM to 800 MLPM. Graphene is prepared by using chemical vapour decomposition (CVD) method at 1000oC with different flow rates of reaction gas for 1 hour of reaction time. The produced graphene was characterized by using scanning electron microscopes, x-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry analysis, and energy dispersive X-ray. By using SEM, the morphology on the surface of the graphene is able to be analyzed. Besides, XRD is used to identify the crystalline material and also the unit cell dimensions of graphene. For EDX, it was used to determine the percentage of each element in the samples, while TGA is to determine the thermal characteristic of graphene. |
