Abstract: | In this thesis, PFC FFA5501 is introducing to reduce the harmonic and increase the power system of the system. By designing the necessary technique and methodology, the overall Power Factor (PF) and the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) can be improved to the expectation. The thesis describes the applications of power factor correction for loads on AC motor. This thesis also presented the related techniques of FA5501 power factor correction circuit. All the data of the experiment will be measure and analyzing to find out the characteristic of the AC motor performance. By using the PFC FA5501x, the power factor was improving 0.44 and the total harmonic distortion is decreasing 9%-12%. From the result obtained from the experiment, the data can be use to calculated the economic expectation. |
