Abstract: | This project present new seal design of seal for new rotary valve for internal combustion engine. Seal designed to decrease gas leakage in rotary valve especially at high gases pressure area. In this paper will show calculation of gas leakage and lubricating process for effective and reliable work of an engine. All the gas leakage calculation and lubricating process includes next step; calculate the clearance between rotary valve and housing, area of rotary valve that respond to appropriate lubricating process, evaluate the level of oil burning into chamber engine, chose optimal geometry of lubricating grooves, and calculate necessary oil flow rate. At the end of this project, the function of seal and lubricating in new rotary valve engine design for rotary valve will discovered. Beside that, this paper will tell about the advantages and disadvantages of rotary valve. |
