Abstract: Harmonics as sinusoidal voltages and currents having frequencies that are whole multiples of frequency at which the supply system is designed to operate. It also outlines the major sources of harmonics from the three categories of equipment, which are power system equipment, industrial loads and residential loads. This project will be done to analyze voltage distortion in distribution feeder due to nonlinear load such as (PC’s, TV’s, compact fluorescent light and other household equipments). This project will be focus on voltage quality problem effect by nonlinear loads on the odd voltage. A test / measurement setup will be conducted on various types of nonlinear loads at Unimap Kluster. Schaffner Win2100V3 may be use to measure the corresponding frequency spectrum including harmonic frequency. Data collected from the test will be use to analyze using MiPower software to determine based on the most susceptible busses and their response to each harmonic frequency.
