Abstract: Malaysia is blessed with the tropical weather which allows plants to grow all year long. The grass at our garden grows everyday rapidly and need to be cut always. However, lawn mowing often is not hassle and time consuming. The task of manual lawn mowing also not easily can be done by elderly, younger or disable people. Thus, the task of this manual lawn mowing could be replaced with automatic lawn mower that has been programmed. This project is about making a product that can replace the manual lawn mowing, which is an automatic lawn mower. The idea of the automatic lawn mower is based on automatic vacuum cleaner concept that already invented. The product size will be such as controller car size but a bit large and heavy. The movement of the lawn mower will be coding by using programming. To avoid obstacles, ultrasonic sensor will be use on the lawn mower. For the movement mechanism, two differential drive robot system will be install at in front of the lawn mower and two caster wheels at the back to support the movement. Besides that, there will be three dc motor in this lawn mower, two for the wheels and one for the blade. Lastly, this lawn mower will use battery as the main power to function.
