Abstract: The project is about development of series passive filter where it is used to reduce harmonic on single phase transformer. The literature review was first made to obtain the related information. Then the software implementation had been done on the 3rd and 5th harmonic passive filter to simulate the circuit. Some calculation had made to obtain the value of the components that used. After the simulation, the circuit were converted into the hardware form. The main component such like run capacitor, toroid, load was connected on a board. The series passive filter will then connect to the power supply and transformer for the harmonic test where the instrument of Voltech PM300 will use to measure the value of the harmonic and the total harmonic distort. The result than obtain from the software and hardware were record and analysis. The analysis showed that the filter able to reduce the harmonic of the transformer and all of the objective were able to achieve.
