Abstract: Nowadays, an irrigation system in Malaysia mainly using irrigation system manually. With this method, water consumption is rather wasted because each soil requires different quantities of water. Similarly, in terms of working on high energy consumption. The purpose of this project is to upgrade it to the automatic irrigation system using single board computer which is Raspberry Pi. Thus, by upgrading the irrigation system to automatic, there are various pros and recovery can be achieved. Using automatic irrigation system, farmers can save time and cost. Farmers are also able to control irrigation pumps automatically or by using cell phones or other electronic devices anywhere and anytime. The system also uses soil moisture sensor to detect the humidity of soil. Each soil has a certain moisture levels. As a result, this system can improve the previous system.
