Abstract: A patch antenna has advantages such as low profile, low cost, small size and easy to fabricate. It is very suitable for applications in wireless communication systems. They have the capability of integration with other circuits. Therefore, it also suit for others application like navigation systems, cell devices and many others. In this thesis presents E shaped patch antenna with Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) are designed at frequencies 2.2 GHz The structure of FSS can enhance the bandwidth and gain. The FSS can be sandwiched between the antenna and the ground plane.
