Abstract: Generally, the filter is defined as a two port network. A two port network are used to provide frequency selection in satellite and mobile communication, radar, electronic and sensor wafer control system that operates on a different frequency. Filter function is to handle the response of certain frequencies in the microwave system. This project is about the design of microstrip dualband bandpass filter (with an order where N = 3) in ISM-band applications. It is designed based on the concept of the microstrip parallel coupled line. The purpose of this project is done is mainly how to realize the practical microwave filters. Microstrip dual band pass filter is designed to operate at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz ISM frequency of which two frequencies operate at high-speed wireless LAN. In the communication system, the frequency of operation is suitable for satellite communications applications. Therefore, this project will demonstrate how filters work and objectives of the project are successfully achieved.
