Abstract: Optical Fiber Bragg Grating sensing for water level is essential to ensure the pressure of water is measured more accurate. Fiber Bragg Grating sensor is a sensor that has sensing element which is excellent for measuring static and dynamic fields. It is able to provide a monitoring system which is faster, more precise and sensitive. This project gives emphasis on how to monitor the pressure of different level water using Fiber Bragg Grating sensors. The main objective of this project is to analyze the performance of Fiber Bragg Grating sensors for detecting pressure by using self-made techniques and low cost materials. From the experiments conducted, all data collected, including output data from the Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) were presented in table format, analysed, laid in graphical format and are discussed in detail. In the preceding chapters and in conclusion, it can be acknowledged that this system of monitoring using Fiber Bragg Grating sensors shall significantly improve the sensitivity to detect pressure of water in short duration of time and with accuracy and this will greatly improve operations efficiency. Other than this, the most important, the error for detect water pressure will be reduced.
