Abstract: The intelligent farm is farm that uses of computers and field sensors to provide a realtime information in order to improve decision-making and enhance farm prosperity. This system play an important role for the farmers to control and monitoring the farm and also will help to overcome the problem of irrigation system. Even though they are very important, global afford to make this system more simple, easy to be operate and cost effective system is far from imagined. Most of this system is expensive and need a lot of investment and training. This project using an open source educational board known as Raspberry Pi that act as a controller to help monitoring the farm. This system provide simple and basic monitoring system for farm. The action of system is depends on sufficient data of humidity and temperature that are taken from sensor and the system will control and automate the irrigation for lawn watering depend on the sensor reading. The sensing system is based on feedback control mechanism with a centralized control unit which regulate the flow of water on to the field in the real time based on the instantaneous temperature and moisture values. Depending on the varied requirement of different crops, a lookup table has been prepared and referred to for ascertaining the amount of water needed by that crop. The controller system based on Raspberry pi Board are developed for this purpose. It is portable technique to support cost effective agriculture especially in developing countries.
