Abstract: | Image processing is divided in many class. Some of them is dark contrast stretching. Nowadays, the dark stretching process is used widely. This process not only used in editing picture but it can be used in medical. For this project, the images used were the infected sputum. The image of sputum had been captured by University Sains Malaysia Kubang Kerian by using high technology microscope. Tuberculosis is one of the dangerous disease that killed 1.5 million of people. The image of the Tb Bacilli is red in colour. In order to make the images look clearly, the dark stretching process is applied.Then, the main part of this project is apply the dark stretching algorithm in the software. For this project, the software that had been used is Microsoft Visual Studio. After the application of the dark stretching algorithm, the output obtained can be seen by the output image. The output image obtained is more suitable for human view that is the TB Bacilli can be seen clearly. |
