Abstract: Modern times now a day a lots of technology been produce, one of the transport tracking devices. There are many types of transport tracking devices already invented, major classified as passive and active. Passive type device, store the data first then evaluate later, while Active type device evaluate near real time via satellite. This project tries to create another tracking device system which in active type. Those tracking device did not come in cheap, with the help of open source code such as Linux, and MySQL, Transport Tracking and Monitoring System will be a low cost transport tracking devices. With the development of this project, not just it will reduce the cost but increase the knowledge of Linux and also increase the awareness to people that Linux in a FREE open source and can do many wonder thing.
