Abstract: | Nowadays Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCFs) have attracted significant diverse applications in telecommunications, sensors, interferometry, soliton, lasers, medical instrumentations and various polarization sensitive devices etc. Owning to the flexibilities on design PCFs have attracted more and more interests during the past decade. PCFs are made from single material such as silica glass which has various guiding properties such as birefringence, nonlinearity, and chromatic dispersion, in smart way. Fiber dispersion plays a vital role in broadband communication system. So the dispersion causes pulse broadening in the long distance communication system need to be compensated. To compensate the dispersion and reduces the cost the dispersion compensation fiber is the most useful technique that has found widespread application. The dispersion and dispersion slope simultaneously should be compensated at the same time in a single mode fiber by dense wavelength division multiplexing |
