Abstract: Power divider is a passive component used for microwave signal power division. After the release of UWB bandwidth range from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz, the demand to provide power divider to operate within this frequency range is also increase. This report describes the development of UWB power divider on single layer microstrip – line. Two designs are presented in the report. The first design implements conventional Wilkinson Power Divider while the second design implements radial stub Wilkinson Power Divider. UWB bandwidth can be achieved in the second design in terms of isolation and return loss better than -10 dB and power division equal to -3 ± 0.5 dB. Both designs are simulated using CST Microwave Studio 2010. The results for the radial stub Wilkinson Power Divider are slightly degraded compared to simulated measurement due to fabrication error such as imperfect connector and resistor, soldering, printing and etching errors.
