Abstract: Since flood disaster is considered dangerous to human life, an efficient countermeasure or alert system must be implemented order to notify people in the early stage so that safety precautions can be taken. Therefor , an early warning system Flood Alerting System (FAS) is developed. The product features consist of low cost, effective and extremely simple system requires no regular maintenance. It provides SMS and Calling alert using (GSM) technology. This system is designed for monitoring water lavel remotely and utilizes Global System of Mobile Connection (GSM) and Short Message Service (SMS) to convey data from sensors to the respective users through their mobile phone. Alerting system at different water level can be easily configured to automatically notify the communities on the floods disaster.
