Abstract: Wireless sensor technologies are promising in the field of industrial tomography system, to visualize the cross-sectional images of an industrial flow process. The aim of the paper is to review the technical and scientific state of the art of wireless technologies, current trend of standards for wireless communications and their sensor applications in industrial process flow measurements. The paper focuses on presenting recent researches in wireless sensor based industrial tomography system, presenting the different systems available, recent developments and challenges in industrial wireless system. We provide contemporary reviews on wireless technology and wireless based industrial tomography system.
