Abstract: | Nowadays, Malaysian facing with the realities of traffic problem because of long waits on obstructed motorways while pass the toll, stolen car, incompetent of access control for car parking and many more problems that interconnected with vehicle. The aim of this project is to build a application which recognizes vehicle plates number to decrease that problem and to improve safety, provide faster transit time for traffic, improve security, and so on. Once a vehicle number plate is detected, its digits are recognized, displayed and checked against a database. The focus of recognition of vehicle plates number is on the design of algorithms used for extracting the vehicle plate’s number from a single image, finding the individual characters on the plate and identifying the characters. |
