Abstract: | Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) was treated with nitric acid in order to increase the purified yield and also to get carboxylic groups (COOH) attached on the MWCNT wall surfaces for further applications. The existence of COOH on the MWCNT surfaces was detected by using FTIR Spectroscopy while RAMAN Spectroscopy was carried out to measure the structure defects of MWCNT since during the acid treatment, COOH will be attached at the defect sites produced. |
