Abstract: In this project, the main focus is to design a system to sense the direction of the wind and tune the turbine towards the wind direction. A conventional wind turbine faces towards the wind direction through the tail behind of the turbine. The time to react towards the changes of direction of wind will be much longer especially area with low wind speed. Hence, the objective of this project is to reduce the reaction time to face towards the wind direction by designing an automatic tuning controller so that the wind turbines will always facing the upcoming wind direction with a simple design and low cost system.
