Abstract: Knowledge sharing is very important to organization. Employees share knowledge among them so that they can learn new skills and apply the skills to their work. In the workplace, knowledge sharing will help the employees to perform better in their work. In Malaysia, business organization strives to increase the quality of their human capital. One of the ways to gauge the quality is by the analysis of firm innovation capability. When many employees share knowledge among themselves, firm innovation capability will increase. Unlike the government sectors, private sectors are not strict in terms of its red-tape. The passing of information either from the top to bottom or bottom to top should be free-flow. However, certain companies ask the employee to shut their mouth in order to protect companys secret. There are many researches on knowledge sharing worldwide. However, a research in the Information System business is rare. The research will look in terms of how a company which focuses on patents and trade secret will influence the sharing of knowledge between employees in an organization and people outside of the organization. Data collected from 53 respondents were explored by descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. The research will expect a high significances and strong relationship. The author also will expect that the more employees share information, the better the firms innovation capability. The result showed that Knowledge Collecting has a significant relationship to Firm Innovation Capability.
