Abstract: A stray field transformer is a electrical equipment that can be reduce power losses and have high efficiency. Based on knowledge of basic principle of transformer, that rated capacity of stray field transformer is design with 1.5KVA. It designed as 215V of primary voltage and 135V of secondary voltage. The winding of transformer is 441 primary turns and 276 secondary turns respectively. This transformer is mainly to step up electrical current with low power losses or voltage drop. Stray field transformer is different from other transformer, because it has stray winding or leakage winding. This winding will prevent the induced flux from out of transformer. So, the power losses can be reducing in this transformer. Certain tests are conducted to determine the performance of transformer based on specification.
