UNIMAP class scheduling automation system

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to design software that can automatically arrange lectures and lab sessions according to subjects from each courses and years in a proper manner and to avoid from clash between other classes. The system is built using Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise Edition for its interface and Microsoft Office Access as its database. The interfaces are designed for inputting the data (class, labs session, subjects and courses) and the interface that will display the calculated time table. The database listed the total of lecture halls, tutorial rooms and labs, the data for classes, lab sessions and list of subjects according to each courses and the distant between each location in UNIMAP. The system is designed to fit the student’s and UNIMAP’s facilities capacities.
