Water is able to cut certain thickness of metal plates if given enough pressure. To prove it, a blast test jig is design and fabricated. The design of the blast test jig is optimized using AUTODYN blast simulation software. The blast test jig consists of three parts that is blast cap, water container and workpiece holder. 10 grams of PE4 explosive was used in the experiment. The PE4 explosive was exploded inside a hollow chamber inside the blast cap. The blast wave pushes the water to cut 5 mm thick Aluminum plate and 2 mm thick stainless steel plate.en_US
