Abstract: This final year project is doing develop interruption curve and analyzed the effect of mitigation device on induction motor behavior. One of the biggest problems in power quality is the disconnection and efficiencies of electric motor due to the presence of sag. In order to study this phenomenon it become necessary used “Schaffner Proffline” to generate the sag and detect the effect of the voltage sag curve. This study is basically to analyze the waveform during voltage sag. The effect in current and speed when the motor are objected speed vs time that cause by sag. “Voltage Dip Proofing Inverter” is the main equipment used to improve the sags and study the mitigation device on induction motor behavior. After completion of test, the speed data can develop the graph speed vs voltage. Other equipment such as Tachometer output RS232 is used to capture and logged speed in (RPM) data into computer. When sags happened, a current spike occurs and when it excesses the rates current thus can damage the induction motor.
