Abstract: This project presents the modeling and control of a DC-DC converter. The project aims is to develop a buck converter with the capacitor voltage and inductor current as the outputs and be able to monitor the output voltage from an input of 24 Volt. The model is simulated using Simulink/Matlab. The DC-DC Buck Converter is design by modeling the circuit using state space technique. After model the circuits, by using the equations, model the buck converter in Simulink software and run the system to get the answer. The parameters for the model are chosen as suggested by the literature. The simulations are run with or without current generator. Results show that the converter output is regulated at 12 Volt by selecting the duty cycle which is as predicted. This system will indirectly help to convert the voltage input, which will help to control and overcome any problem.
