dc.description.abstract | This is a project describes about the design and fabrication of multiple-stop band filters which will suppress interfering signals in UWB applications. In this project, it is established that complementary split-ring resonators, a new type of resonators recently introduced by authors, are key elements for miniaturization of microwave devices implemented in planar technology, such as filters. Several novel printed microwave elements are designed making use of complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs),either Circular and Rectangular split ring resonators. Simple 50-Ω microstrip lines are loaded with both types of CSRR is capable of suppressing signal from WLAN system 5-6Ghz and 802.11b/g WLAN system covering the 2.4-2.48GHZ frequency band which is also ISM band centre frequency 2.45GHz.The stop band frequency observes is greater than -10dB. Some important stop-band characteristics of these filters have been studied and compared in a detailed manner. Simulations have been accompanied by measurements and good agreement has been obtained between numerical and experimental results. The possibility to implement band pass filters with wide bandwidth and high performance, the small electrical size of CSRRs, as well as their potential applications in other microwave devices, make these particles of extensive interest in microwave engineering. | en_US |
