This project has presented the design of 1 kVA rated power, 200/100 V and cable of 1.5 cross sectional area. The design of transformer coil starts with the selection of number of turns of coil and selection of cable cross sectional area. Once the turns of coil and conductor sections are known, proceed further toward estimating the coil configuration up to the window height of the core frame. Based on the calculated window height, the secondary coil design was done. Furthermore, the core width, core stack, flux density and window width are calculated with the design output available. Besides, the material preparation and working details transformer assembly are also done. After the transformer is complete assembled, some of the tests such as polarity test, ratio test, open-circuit test, short-circuit test and load test are carried out. Finally, the tested results are analyzed, the losses and efficiency of transformer are counted. Some of the discussions and recommendations are stated for future project improvement. Since the efficiency of the transformer design is 92.50 %, thus it is effectively designed for reducing the line cost and improving the reliability and quality of the electrical energy supply system.en_US
