The objective of this study is to monitor the particulate matter (PM 10) around selected residential area at six locations around Perlis. The particulate matter (PM10) was collected by using Tas Minivolume E- Sampler on Teflon 47 mm filter paper within 24 hours. Four indoor and one outdoor sampling point in each of location were chosen in this study. Outdoor sampling site was chosen in order to do comparison between indoor PM 10. The study area was selected base on age of the residential houses, residence type, and the design of the building. The highest concentration is at Taman Muhibbah. Furthermore, particulate emission was analyzed by using Energy Dispersive (ED-XRF) Model MiniPal 4. From Element analysis the highest concentration is Zinc.. Zinc was high because it is associated with car brakes, tires and type of petrol fuels used .The air was bringing along the Zinc compound into indoor air as well as the cars were putted at the garages, and soil dust may carry along the Zinc Compound. The highest concentration filter paper was investigated the morphology conditions by using Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (SEM-EDS) this analysis and to know the elemental concentration. All the samples were found to have same variety of particles shape.en_US
