dc.description.abstractSugar manufacturing nowadays facing many problems especially in producing sugar from sugarcane. Process improvement is studied at Kilang Gula Felda Perlis on the crystallization in the boiling stage. The objective of the study is to obtain the most optimum setting in order to maximize yield in minimum time. Using Design of experiment (DOE), the experiments are designed with 2k factorial method. Twenty experiments are run in production line in the factory. Software like Design Expert is used to analyze the data and result. ANOVA, factor interaction and other method is used. Hopefully, the improvement would be beneficial to the factory.en_US
