Abstract: In designing grounding system of substation, the quantities of grounding system resistance, touch (or mesh) and step voltages must be known for personal safety and equipment protection. The quantities performance is significantly influenced by characteristic of soil vicinity of the system grounding. Grounding system of a substation is grid and made from cooper and steel conductors or alloy. This paper provides analysis of the soil resistivity influence on substation grounding grid.
