Abstract: Generally, 0.35mm has better performance than 0.5mm thickness of material in terms of losses reduction and money saving potential. This paper presents the comparison of the 0.35mm and 0.5mm thickness of non oriented electrical steel material designed by using FEM software to simulate the parameters taken from 0.5HP AC induction motor. The 0.5HP three phase induction motor is investigated by the differences of its electromagnetic field. Simulation analysis shows that the material of 0.35mm thicknesses has 6.71% higher flux density than that of 0.5mm thickness.
