Abstract: Progressive die stamping is a metalworking process that is designed to convert a strip of metal material into parts that conform to a specified shape and form. The progressive stamping dies are placed into a stamping press. The stamping press move up and down to control die open or close. The metal material moves through the die while the die is open, being fed into the die with a precise amount of movement with each stroke of the press. Each individual action in the die is called a station. This project will describe on design progressive of die for stamping process based on the theory of sheet metal behavior and blank calculation. First design must be decide the layout and calculation percentage strip. Layout of scrap strip will be a referent and guide to design progressive stamping die. During design a die, calculation, standard part, and material will be assigning. Part function will explain in this project, for education purpose. Is also can guide student to imagination about design progressive stamping die.
