In this project titled “Numerical Model of Cable Median Barrier for Crashworthiness Assessment”, we need to develop a numerical model of cable median barrier used at Kuala Perlis – Changlun highway. For the beginning of the project, we need to get all the cable median barrier measurement and develop it into a virtual model. After that, convert it into numerical model and simulate an oblique crash of a small truck to strand cable barrier. For this project, we decide to set the velocity 80km/h and 10 degree oblique crash. After choosing the crash condition, we simulate it by using LSDyna software. Finally, we analyze the result by observe some impact parameters, velocity, deceleration, angle of impact and occupant risk.en_US
