Abstract: This report presents the study on the continuous improvement method that has been implemented at the industry in Malaysia. This study also involved in the challenges and benefits of implementing this method. A questionnaire was prepared and distributed to the company and giving the 11.3 per cent response rate from sample of 300 of the companies was randomly selected from the directories of Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and two respondents from the visit of company at Perlis. Various methods were implemented at the company and also there are also a few companies that did not implemented this continuous improvement. Based on the study, the biggest challenge in implementing the continuous improvement is lack of training of the employees and also lack of financial support to commit the program. The largest benefit of implementing this method is the waste or defect of the product or service can be reduced. It is also found that the most common method that being implement at the industry is Total Quality Management.
