Abstract: As a rule, unipolar hip endoprostheses are applied for the rehabilitation of elderly patients with hip joint functions recovery required. After surgery, patients often experience discomfort produced by forces’ redistribution in driving muscles while walking. Such redistribution takes place because of the thigh mass increase around the hip joint. Explanation of a newlydesigned unipolar endoprosthesis with a hollow head and its functioning analysis compared with conventional designs are provided in this paper. Data results of endoprosthesis clinical trials are provided. The design is human-centered, so its application in medical practices allows for improvement of patient life during the postoperative period.
