Abstract: This study deals with exploitation of a pilot-scale twophase, direct contact heat exchanger, called supermizer, and its significant impact on energy saving and pollution reduction. Experiments were performed using water as dispersed phase and boiler flue gases as continuous phase. Comparison of experimental data with calculated results based on empirical formula shows reasonable accuracy of the formulations.
