Abstract: | In this paper the conceptual design of a new type of waterjet boat has been studied. The boat gets to the complete surface movement by the thrust due to waterjets reaction. Sucking water from bottom of the boat and pumping it into the high pressure reservoirs; high speed waterjets – that are flushed out obliquely– are produced. These waterjets cause the boat become floated and also provides the needed thrust force. This type of thrust force improves the ability of the boat to move in shallow and muddy waters. Relations between design parameters of the boat have been determined by the use of fluid dynamics equations. A procedure for the design of the boat is introduced step by step. All parts of the boat have been modeled by CATIA software and consequently, a 3-D model of the boat was generated. |
