Abstract: This paper demonstrates the effects of Fast Fourier Transform and envelope spectrums to detect the rolling element bearing faults. Throughout using Fast Fourier Transform and Hilbert Transform to detect the faults of three faulty conditions namely: outer-race, inner-race and roller faulty bearings using different rotational speeds. The experimental results show the effectiveness of using these techniques and confirm that the Envelope spectrum has more abilities in fault detection for complex signals such as roller race fault.
