International Conference on Applications and Design in Mechanical Engineering 2012 (ICADME 2012) organized by School of Mechatronic Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), 27th - 28th Februari 2012 at Bayview Beach Resort, Penang, Malaysia.en_US
The behavior of wear for dry alloy A390 of (aluminum–silicon) casting which constitutes 16% Si is investigated. The lost of the wear rate is weighted and the volume decreases with increasing speed of sliding as well as the passage of sliding time. The coefficient of friction decreases as sliding speed increases reaching to the steady state. It is focused to be applicable under high temperatures for pistons and cylinders using the pin on disc for different slide speed and time.en_US
