Abstract: | This study was conducted to study the performance of aquatic plants in wetland system for in agricultural waste water treatment. The wastewater sample used in this study was collected from the pond of dairy farm which consist the cows and horses. Water quality parameters tested were TSS and nutrient content (Ammonia-Nitrogen, nitrate and orthophosphate), which were tested on every cycle of study. Results obtained showed that planted (with the chosen wetland plants) have a best results in decreasing the TSS and also able to decrease nutrient content respectively. After a cycle of treatment, the plants, which are Paku Rawan (Limnocharis flava) and Keladi Bunting, (Eichhornia crassipes) were found as good pollutant removers. As the conclusion, constructed wetland treatment system by using the chosen wetland plants is able to reduce the concentration of pollutant from feedlot wastewater effectively. |
