Abstract: The purpose of this research is to study the comparison on voltage sag mitigation techniques; Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) and Distribution Static Compensator (DSTATCOM. The discussion, analysis and simulation result using PSCAD/EMTDC are presented in this paper to characterize the differences of these two techniques. The significance of the study is mainly focused on the effectiveness of these techniques in mitigating the difference type of voltage sags source with different loads. It's also focus on the effects of using the techniques to phase shift. The analysis conceded on double line to ground fault. Each technique from simulation results are presented and compared.
