Abstract: In vitro method is widely used to determine the anti-diabetic activities in herbal plants. The method does not involved human body or animal as the model in the experiment. In this project, three types of plant are selected because they are traditionally used in the treatment of diabetic disease. In order to study their antidiabetic activities, the experiment was conducted using an in vitro method which found to be more simple and accurate compared to diffusion method and faster compared to an in vivo method. The data from the experiment are manipulated using statistical analysis, which very important to know the type of inhibition of the plant extract. The analysis contains the Vmax value, Tm value and related to the efficiency of inhibition of the plant extract. Result of the experiment has observed that Kedondong (Spondias dulcis) has comparatively higher antidiabetic activity where as the Cemumar (Micromelum pubescens) shows the lower antidiabetic activity. By using Lineweaver Bulk plot, the result obtained follows a typical pattern of uncompetitive inhibition, meaning that the inhibitor binds to the intermediate product, not to the free enzyme.
