Abstract: Jatropha cake is one of the best carbon sources among various carbohydrates because it is pure, inexpensive and available in mass supply. The utilization of Jatropha cake as substrate for enzyme production could be an alternative in replacing its traditional used as fodder or fertilizer especially when there is no practical way for its detoxification. Enzyme production, and microorganism uses for the fermentation activities and also the toxicity i. e. phorbol ester, lectin and trypsin inhibitor contents of the biomass will be further discuss.
