The 2nd International Conference on Engineering and ICT 2010 (ICEI 2010) organized by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), 18th - 20th February 2010 at Holiday Inn, Melaka, Malaysia.en_US
This paper propose a new methodology using Real Coded Genetic Algorithm (RCGA)for the optimal allocation and sizing of Embedded Generation (EG) to minimize the total power losses and to improve voltage profile in the radial distribution networks. RCGA is a method that uses continuous floating numbers as representation which is different from conventional one that used as solution tool, which can determine the optimal location and size of EG in radial system simultaneously. This method is developed in MALTAB. The effectiveness of this method is demonstrates using IEEE-69 bus radial distribution system.en_US
