Abstract: In transmission open access, determining generators' share in loads, line flows and losses have become an important issue, due to the complexity of electrical transmission system, it is not straightforward to map out tin contribution of particular generator to a particular lines, loads and losses. Thus, there are several algorithms proposed to overcome this matter through the literatures. This paper intends to discuss the comparison of two methods for determining generators share to the open access network, namely Node method and Proportional Tree Method (PTM). This paper will focus on real power tracing. A number of similations have been done to compare the performance and validate the correctness of each method. Finally, conclusion and recommendations are given.
