This final year project (FYP) aims to the study consisted of literature review, field trial, laboratory study and simulation model. This is important to determine the production capacity utilization and equipment uptime of supply chain from field planting until final product processing. In the literature review, firstly, the project was found out the information about plant growth for upstream processing. Secondly, the capacity utilization of oven dryer, grinder, extraction, centrifuge and spray dryer. Besides, for this downstream processing, the equipment uptime of each process is also determined. The laboratory study begins by carrying out an investigative experiment on the plant’s growth curve of Misai Kucing (Orthosiphon stamineus). The water extraction and centrifugation were done in order to know the presence bioactive compound in Misai Kucing by using HPLC. A backward calculation was done using simulation model (Microsoft Office Excel) to obtain the capacity of input and expected product of Misai Kucing. Based on data obtained from the growth curve and simulated calculation from a plantation area of 1 hectare that the capacity of raw material is approximately 111,000 plants to produce an estimated of 19.18 kg of Misai Kucing extracted powder can be obtained.en_US
