Abstract: This research is to reutilize waste tire to a concrete-rubber. The objective of this research is to investigate the possibility of using rubber particles as a replacement for the natural aggregates in concrete. These concrete-rubbers use shredded rubber 2.00mm in size. A test has been conducted to determine the properties of the concrete-rubber; water absorption and compression test is conducted under laboratory scale. The test for concrete-rubber shows that it does not exhibit a sudden brittle but it indicates high energy absorption capacity. Composite rubber and concrete enhances toughness of the concrete-rubber although mechanical strength was reduced.
